Dr. Richard Woodworth, your Henderson orthopedist, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports related injuries and joint reconstruction. He excels in the latest techniques and procedures of orthopedic care. With a passion for minimally invasive procedures, his practice focuses on arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle. Dr. Woodworth attended Utah State University where he received a Bachelors of Science with Magna Cum Laude honors. He then went on to receive his Medical Doctorate at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. With a particular interest in musculoskeletal injury and disease, he then attended the University of Rochester Medical Center where he completed a residency in orthopedic surgery. After his residency, he remained at the University of Rochester where he completed an accredited fellowship in arthroscopy and sports medicine. During his training, Dr. Woodworth has received numerous academic honors. He has also been involved in orthopedic research, which has resulted in book chapter and scientific article publications.
